Mark and Steph’s January winter wedding was cold but sunny. They’d originally planned on a summer wedding but then decided why wait, they just wanted to get married.
Horsham registry office is a Grade II listed Georgian building overlooking beautiful grounds and Horsham Park. I love Georgian buildings with their elegant tall windows and symmetrical appearance. The building was a great backdrop for a few formal photographs although we didn’t hang around for too long as a nice warm pub reception was waiting.
Mark and Steph wanted a low key and informal reception so chose The Woolpack pub in Burgess Hill. Rather than having a guest signing they had another idea. They had everyone do fingerprints on a tree picture. It really looked great. Scarlett was a bridesmaid and Zac was a page boy. They looked and felt very special and grown up at their parents' wedding. They looked amazing too in their outfits. After the pub reception, everyone then went on to Q Leisure in Albourne. This is where the party really started. It’s a great venue for a wedding with a main building with a bar which led into a heated marquee. There was lots of colourful lighting, a great DJ, lots of dancing and drinking. They had room for a big party with a DJ, dancing, much drinking and a photo booth. It was here that the cake cutting took place with a dual-sided cake, one for him and one for her. A great fun wedding on a limited budget.
