Portrait Photography Information & Pricing

I feel excited when I create great photographs which people love. Some people say, “I don’t like having my picture taken” or “I’m not very photogenic”. However, after a portrait photography shoot with me, I’m often told how much they’ve enjoyed the experience. Then when they see the pictures I’m told that somehow, I’ve managed to capture them in a way they like. I work in a collaborative way by chatting and understanding you and putting you at ease. I want you to enjoy yourself and we’ll have some fun creating beautiful portrait images together. This is my approach and I find it produces the best and most natural photographs, that let your personality shine through.

"An amazing experience had by our family in the cube. All 6 of us had such an enjoyable time and couldn't be more happy with the results. Louise made us all feel relaxed and captured some lovely natural photos of us all. The hardest part was choosing the final photos for the picture as they were all amazing. Thank you so much for everything. 100% recommend this to everyone I know." Helen, Haywards Heath.

If I can bring joy, fun and lasting memories to your life with my portrait photography, then I’m very happy.

I offer a variety of different portrait photo shoots, from babies and families to engagements and headshots. I photograph people both at my studio in Hurstpierpoint as well as out on location.

Photography Studio

My home photography studio is the entire top floor of my house in Hurstpierpoint. This is where you will come for a studio shoot. It’s also where you will be invited back to view your photographs and see my beautiful range of wall art, albums and products to display your images.

Hurstpierpoint is a pretty village with lots to offer. Also, if you are travelling a distance, you will find cafes, pubs which offer good food as well as a range of independent shops. Hurstpierpoint is easily reached by car, being just off the A23, 10 miles north of Brighton. Street parking is easy, and we have a small children's park opposite which families often enjoy after their photo shoot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to a shoot?

The best advice is to wear what you would like to see in your photographs. Your pictures are going to be on your wall for many years so do give the colours and styles some thought. Think about how you will all look together and if the colours work well as a family shot. Other than that, wear what you feel comfortable in.

So, I’ve booked a portrait session, what actually happens next?

Once you’ve booked your portrait session with me, you will receive an email confirmation along with a receipted invoice. After the shoot, I will fully edit all the images. We will meet again at my studio where you will be able to enjoy seeing all your images set to music in a beautiful slideshow. This is when you will be able to choose from a range of fully finished wall art, albums and keepsake products to best show off your memories.

What are your most popular products?

This all depends on the type of shoot you have but the most popular item for family photography is a large wall hung picture which looks stunning above a sofa. Albums are very popular as are modern multi-image wall art frames.
