About Lousie Sullivan
Hi, I’m Louise. To me, life is one exciting adventure. It’s about having fun and enjoying every moment. That’s why being a documentary wedding photographer is such a great job, it’s the adventure and a challenge that I love. I also love cocktails, colourful shoes and things that sparkle. I always say a girl can never have too much glitter.
I love looking at old photographs
My love of photography comes from my love of looking at old photographs and getting the feeling that those memories bring back. My mum always asks, “why have you got the old albums out again?” I love turning the pages very carefully, so the photos don’t fall out. I love looking back at my parents' wedding album with the muted colours of the 60’s or the photos of my brother, sister and I growing up. With each picture I’m transported back to the moment it was taken.
I live with my husband Richard and our three cats Tilak, Tika and Milton. We live in Hurstpierpoint, a village next to the South Downs just north of Brighton. I also have two grown-up stepchildren, Andrew and Charlotte.
A few things about me that you probably don’t know
I have number form synaesthesia. I used to think that everyone saw numbers like me until people started telling me that I was unusual. Apparently, it means I’m more creative so I’m quite happy.
One of my favourite singers is Martha Tilston and we got married to her song, Wave Machine. Mostly though I love conjuring up new cocktails. On a Friday night, I’ll generally be found playing old board games like Mastermind and drinking my cocktail creations with Richard. Unless I have a wedding the next day!
